PHYSICAL FITNESS
All persons requesring to enter the Reserve Service must be medically, physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Regular Defence Act.
Phase II - EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL INTO SERVICE
On successful completion of training, members of the Resrves will be employed by appointment for officers for specified periods as laid down by the minister and by contract or engagement for the enlisted personnel for periods of one (1) year to five (5) yrs.
APPOINTMENT TO RANK AND RATE
Officers in the reserves will be appointed to the rank as approved by the minister. Officers who transfer from the regular force will carry the rank and senority held in the regular force.
Enllisted members of the reserve will serve in the rate as laid down by the minister or in the rate and senority they held on being transferred from the regular force.
COMPLULSORY TRAINING
Compulsory training for specified periods will be directed by the Commander Defence Force. It is the intent that persons will be called out for compulsory training one weekend per month and two weeks annual training. Reservists will be allowed to carry out their training during their vacation periods.
CALL OUT ON TEMPORARY SERVICE
The Security Council may call out the Reserves on temporary service as the occassion appears to require.
CALL OUT ON PERMANENT SERVICE
In the event of a declaration of war, insurrection, hostilities or public emergency, the Governor General by proclamation may direct the reserves be called out on permanent service.
ATTENDANCE UPON CALL OUT
All members of the reserves are to adhere to call out notices, particulary when given for duty as laid down in section 195 sections (1), (2) & (3).
EFFECTIVE TIME OF CALL OUT
The effective time for call out starts when a member of the reserves reports in person for duty as laid down in section 195 (1), (2) & (3).
TERMINATION OF SERVICE
The minister may at any time give direction for the terminating of service of any officer or marine in accordance with section 197 (1).
