RBDF as Social Partners
As a social partner, The Royal Bahamas Defence Force is devoted to extending its services into Bahamian communities and has for many years worked steadfastly with the personal and professional development of hundreds of our nation’s youth through such programs as the Work-Experience Program for public and private schools, the Government’s S.U.R.E. program for school students at risk to adverse adolescent behaviour, the Governor-General’s Youth Award Program, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers Program and the Adopt-a-School Program in the Government and Private Schools in New Providence.
GIVING BACK
Members of Entry 37 and Woman Entry 9 celebrates four years of service. In commemoration of their accomplishments, the marines hosted a luncheon for the elderly at Unity House, a home for the elderly.
As an effort to give back to the community the marines, the marines intend to make the luncheon an annual event.
